It was 9pm on a Sunday night.
Enrolments for the holiday program opened first thing tomorrow and Jen hadn’t posted about it on social media.
Not even once.
Flicking between her competitors’ pages she got more and more anxious. Then she got angry.
‘Why do I even have to do this? I’m a studio owner! Not a marketer.’
She quickly threw together a mediocre post and went to bed defeated. Again.
…
Does this story sound familiar?
I see it all the time in this industry. Stressed out studio owners who just cannot get on top of their social media.
I thought it would be useful to show what goes on in Studio Evolution and how we tackle this epic problem with our members.
This week Bec (our Lead Trainer), ran a session with our Studio Evolution members, called “Socials Sorted” – and it was absolute magic.
Bec started off with being truly honest about social media.
Truth bomb – It’s not going to be a big driver for enrolments.
You might get a little bit of traction with social media, but we need to look at social media as a portfolio. A beautiful reflection of what your business offers.
Bec also talked about the fear of variety. So many studio owners feel pressured to reinvent the wheel every time they post.
Repetition is perfect.
Repetition is good. That’s what we want. There’s no pressure to do different things, if anything it provides a consistent message for potential students.
The best part about this Studio Evolution method is that you don’t even have to write anything new! You can use past content, grab bits from your Manifesto (another one of our curriculum projects!), use quotes you bulk prepare in Canva and batch up some testimonials.
That’s a whole year of socials sorted in one hour.
One of our Studio Evolutionaries completely filled her yearly calendar in this session – as in the whole year! Here’s a peek of what that could look like for you: a fully customisable template our members can use to input their content and schedule away. The most valuable part is the community brainstorming – so many beautiful minds all helping each other.
Can you imagine what it must feel like to have a whole year of content planned and ready to be posted?
Magic.
In this beautiful session we had 30+ members sort out their socials for the year.
So satisfying!
All my best,
Chantelle
