Hello my friend,
You know what I think? I think being a studio owner is a true calling. It’s hard work but oh so rewarding. The thing is, so many studio owners were never taught how to BE studio owners.
Tell me how you became a studio owner?
Did you grow up in studios? Perhaps they felt like your second home. The home you chose. Maybe school never felt quite right for you and your studio was your home. You’d catch the bus there after school and hang out on the steps outside eating snacks with your friends and waiting for class to start. It was the place where you felt safe and valued and it only made sense that you would have your own studio one day.
There’s a lot of subconscious stories floating around in the studio owner industry. Long nights, working around the clock, being constantly available to your students. Missing important events, hardly ever eating dinner with your loved ones.
We’re fed these falsehoods from the moment we engage in studio life. The long suffering studio owner, so busy they can barely find time to each lunch or get changed out of their activewear. Tired, worn down, in a rut, running on the hamster wheel afraid to stop because everything will fall apart.
Today, I invite you to rewrite that story.
I want you to write out how you would spend your dream day as a studio owner. I walk you further on how you can do this exercise and how you can write this out in my video below.
Let’s do it. I can’t wait to hear what you value in your studio and life.
Let your hearts run wild friend and then think about what you can do it make that dream a reality.
