Michelle S (or Mish as we call her on the Home Team!) has one of those brains that consistently astounds you. Her generosity and creativity elicit that *mind blown* response on a regular basis. We feel so lucky to have her as another one of our beautiful Community Coaches, connecting on a personal level with studio owners seeking help through Studio Evolution. She goes above and beyond for everyone and, being based in the Northern Hemisphere, often stays up way too late chatting to the Aussie team members!
What is your role with Studio Evolution?
I’m so proud to be a Community Coach! I have the opportunity to connect with studio owners all over the world – across lots of different industries and stages. Together we celebrate wins, unpack challenges, and identify the right next steps. I love hearing about the vision studio owners have for their studio and connecting them with our offerings to bring that vision to life. Studio ownership can be lonely and I remember the relief I felt years ago when I scheduled a call with a Studio Evolution Community Coach. Feeling seen, heard, valued, and supported made such a difference for me and my studio. Now I aim to offer the same as a Community Coach myself (and Studio Evolution graduate).
What do you love about working on The Home Team?
You simply won’t find a smarter, kinder, funnier, more collaborative, more fun or harder working group of humans than the Studio Evolution Home Team. When I was a little girl, I always wanted a pen pal (remember those?!) from another country (I’m in the U.S.). Eight-year-old Michelle would be amazed to know she’d grow up to have a role where she’d connect with others all over the country and world, and work with a whole group of friends in Australia, too!
Fun fact about you that not many people know…
I’ve officiated two weddings! It was an honor of my lifetime to have been asked by both of my brothers and now sisters-in-law to play such a special role on their special days.
Would you rather never be able to take a shower again or never be able to take a bath again?
Okay, so…I really want to be a bath person. I love the whole idea of a bath ritual – time to unwind, a good book, maybe some music. But the reality is I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve actually taken a bath as an adult. So, at least for now, it’s showers for me!
